Grant Cardone is a multimillionaire real estate investor, author, and sales trainer – with Cardone Training Technologies as his principal company for improving companies’ sales processes and becoming more effective at turning leads into customers. Other enterprises run by Cardone include Cardone University, Acquisitions & Capital as well as his 2.51 Million YouTube Subscriber base – featuring on shows like Discovery Channel’s Undercover Billionaire; his best-selling books have sold 2.5 Million copies while Forbes and New York Times regularly feature his business advice; in addition he provides mentoring support to many entrepreneurs as well as speaking engagements at major conferences worldwide.
At 29 years old, Cardone decided to put his 14 years of studying real estate into action and buy a single-family home as an investment property. Although at first successful, tenant turnover caused occupancy rates to drop rapidly from 100% down to zero; consequently he lost money and decided not to purchase single-family residential properties again as investments; instead opting instead for purchasing apartment complexes as investments instead.
He employs over 40 salespeople and runs an enormous operation to promote his real estate programs. He encourages his staff members to make cold calls every day to businesses pitching his programs – in fact, you can watch his staff calling them on Youtube videos!
Cardone has made a name for himself as a speaker, appearing on shows like Rhonda Swan Show and Discovery Channel’s Undercover Billionaire. Additionally, he has published 21 best-selling sales and investing courses that cover topics like sales scaling strategies, motivation and money and finance. Although his primary source of income comes from real estate management services he also gains revenue through course sales and mentorship opportunities.
Cardone Capital is an investment firm that allows non-accredited investors to participate in institutional-grade real estate deals through syndication. Since 2012, they have raised $1.1 billion from over 13,000 investors. Furthermore, they own 12 apartment complexes valued at more than $4 billion which form their portfolio of properties.
Aaron Smith-Levin, an anti-cult activist known for his work with Bill Ackman in the Herbalife battle, filed a suit alleging that Cardone Capital misleads small investors. According to Smith-Levin’s suit, Cardone uses false valuations and projections in its real estate syndication funds that attract small-time investors. If true, such allegations would spell disaster for Cardone’s empire while also disrupting affordable housing markets in America; federal regulators are currently investigating this case.
